Renewable Energy Corporation Expansion Project (REC)

Project Summary

IMCO performed all the earthwork, utilities and structural concrete phases for the construction of a $1 billion polysilica plant for REC. Throughout the duration of this project IMCO crews self-performed:

  • 220,000 cubic yards of excavation and embarkment
  • 34,000 cubic yards of concrete; 330,000 square feet of forms; 1,890 tons of rebar
  • 11,000 anchor bolts
  • 315,000 square feet of six-inch concrete paving
  • 3,000 lineal feet of 12-inch trench drain
  •  3,500 tons of structural steel
  • 15 miles of underground pipe
  • 65,000 lineal feet of electrical grounding
  • 74,000 lineal feet of electrical conduit
  • 3 1/2 miles of temporary fencing; 2 1/2 miles of temporary power
  • 1.6 miles of temporary communications
  • 4,000 tons of asphalt
