Marysville Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade & Expansion, Phase 2

Project Summary

This project was highly technical, and the site was extremely tight. The project was constructed in accordance with strict Department of Ecology requirements.  The project team relied heavily on detailed coordination and daily communication with the City of Marysville and Tetra Tech/KCM.

Project Highlights included the installation of 175 concrete piles, each 145 feet long and the addition of 10 high-speed surface aerators and eight surface aspirating aerators.  The contract included modification and expansion of continuous backwash up flow effluent sand filters and installation of a low-pressure, high intensity UV disinfection system and a supplemental hypochlorite disinfection storage and delivery system.
